Miss Alanna has trained at the studio from the age of 4 - 2023 completing all of her RAD exams up to advanced 2.
Alanna has represented the studio in a range of events including Mayor’s Variety Performance, Eisteddfod Gala evenings
and attained numerous awards within competitions including a Choreography award in 2022 for her self-choreographed
contemporary solo. Alanna has recently graduated school completing her ATAR studies in which she has achieved the
highest academic excellence for dance ATAR and general. Alanna has taught many of the students throughout relief
lessons and competition work over the past 2 years whilst also being a helper for junior classes for over 7 years.
Miss Alanna teaches at the Bunbury studio and has previously run the Australind Branch in 2023. In 2024 Miss Alanna will take over running SCCD as the artistic director.
Amy Martin

RAD TEACHING CERTIFICATE
A former student of the studio, Miss Amy Martin has completed up to Advanced 2 in her RAD Ballet Exams.
She furthered her dance training at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and graduated with her
Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) in 2010. Miss Amy took over as principal of the studio in 2013 and since
then has coached many students through exams and competitions, many of her students have then continued on to
pursue dance, full-time at various training institutions.
In 2024 Miss Amy will be stepping down as principal of the studio but will still be teaching our older students.
Miss Amy is a registered teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance and was the principal of the studio for 11 years.

Cheyenne Davis

Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) – Majoring in Dance and Minoring in Drama
Miss Cheyenne trained at the Studio of Classical and Contemporary Dance, completing up to Advanced 1 in her RAD
Ballet Exams. Prior to this, she trained and completed up to Grade 5 in the Cecchetti classical ballet syllabus. Miss
Cheyenne graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor of Arts (Dance)
Degree, before completing an additional year to obtain her Honours Degree. During her Honours year, she toured and
performed, both nationally and internationally with WAAPA's post graduate dance company; LINK. Miss Cheyenne has
completed her Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) and teaches dance at Our Lady of Mercy College, formerly
known as Bunbury Catholic College – Mercy Campus. Miss Cheyenne is a registered teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance since she completed her studies in 2021 with the RAD.

Tarni-Lee Starr

Miss Tarni trained with the Studio of Classical and Contemporary Dance from ages 9-16, completing up to Advanced 1 in her
RAD Ballet Exams. She has worked for a number of highly regarded dance studios, both in Perth and Auckland, New Zealand.
Miss Tarni has previously worked as a high school dance teacher at Bunbury Catholic College - Mercy in 2018 and has many
years of experience in childcare and education. Miss Tarni teaches at the Bunbury studio of SCCD, and has previously managed
all of the Australind classes up until 2022.

Annelise Colman

Miss Annelise began her dance training in regional WA studying Cecchetti Ballet, contemporary and theatrical dance.
After representing Western Australia at the National Lucie Saranova Memorial Awards, Annelise was offered apprenticeship
programs at Ajkun Ballet Theatre and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. Annelise completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and during her final year, undertook secondments with
Leigh Warren and Dancers, The Australian Ballet and performed in Coppelia with the West Australian Ballet company. Since
graduating, Annelise has contributed to a contemporary dance work which was presented at Adelaide Fringe in 2019. Recently,
she co-produced and performed at Perth Fringe World Festival 2020. Annelise has taught and choreographed for several
prominent dance schools in Perth and the South West and continues to develop her knowledge of dance through courses and
workshops.

Amy Tyrrell
RAD TEACHING CERTIFICATE

Amy has experience teaching classical ballet for over 22 years and previously ran her own dance studio for 29 years. She is a qualified and fully registered RAD ballet teacher and has a Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching). Amy also has a Certificate in Matwork Pilates through the
Australian Institute of Fitness and has taught Pilates for many years to her dance students as well as the general public. Currently she is the
owner and teacher of Gymbaroo Bunbury which specialises in child development for babies through to 4 year olds. Amy is looking forward
to working with the SCCD to share her knowledge and skills to help prepare the dancers for exams and performances.

Amelia Parisella

Acrobatic Arts Teacher Certification
Miss Amelia is a senior secondary Dance ATAR specialist teacher currently teaching at Manea Senior College. Her dance journey began at age 4, and included training in jazz, tap, classical, contemporary, hip hop, commercial and heels genres across a range of studios. Miss Amelia has worked locally as a performer, child's entertainer and dance teacher for students with special needs. She has choreographed works showcased in local musical theatre productions and the eisteddfod gala, and has taught jazz across a range of local Dance studios. Miss Amelia is also currently working towards receiving her yoga instructor certification.
